These medications are an injectable that binds to the GLP-1 receptors which are located on the beta receptors of the pancreas and areas of the brain. Binding increases insulin secretion which lowers glucose levels, reduces post-prandial (after a meal) glucagon secretion, promotes feeling of fullness, slows down gastric emptying and helps regulate cravings.

  • Some people experience mild side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, constipation, headache or fatigue. We offer complimentary B12 injection to help combat the nausea.

  • You will be slowly titrated from the starting dose up the tier depending on your bodies response every 2-4 weeks until maintenance dose reached.
